This particular story with Nellie (the creche principal) is that she was using her granny's mud house to teach early childhood development and there were many struggles she had to endure before she finally had her creche built in November 2018 by Key.
She states that, if it wasn't for iThemba Projects and the relationship they have built with her over the years, she would not be celebrating this day. Also, she appreciates how she is continuously equipped with knowledge through their workshops called the "Hlanganani Workshops" there she states that she has received tremendous equipping for her children's teaching and learning experience - through lesson plans and a well guided curriculum.
All the children in the area have truly benefited from this programme and the heart of iThemba Projects is in partnering with the community to help develop them in a manner where they are readily able to continue their creche's development in a sustainable manner.
