2020 was the year in which the world’s vocabulary was really expanded. To help us make sense of the changes that have suddenly become part of our everyday lives, we learned our first Covid-19 terms, like social distancing, self-quarantine and "flatten the curve". We also learned the difference between epidemic and pandemic; quarantine and isolation; respirator and ventilator; contagious and infectious.Luckily we didn’t forget about the healing power of humour in difficult situations and poured it into our newly discovered Covid-19 vocabulary:
