Grace College 1st Boys' and 1st Girls' hockey teams went on tour to Potchefstroom recently. They attended a coaching clinic, hosted by the PUK Hockey Academy. The players received high level coaching from some experienced coaches. The school coaches attended talks by the National Women's Hockey Team Coach. The Boys' team met with very strong opposition and did exceptionally well, losing only 1 out of 7 fixtures. The Girls' team improved immensely and only lost 2 of their 6 fixtures. These results were achieved against very strong sporting schools, with pupil numbers of over a 1000. Our teams did us proud and we look forward to reaping the benefits of such coaching clinics in the future. At Grace we want to make touring an integral part of our students' sporting experience.
