One year ago, Grace College parent, Greg Perrett, embarked on a cycle tour from Cape Town to Pietermartizburg to raise funds for the Grace LEAP programme (Learner Enhancing Advancement Programme). It was aptly named the "journey of compassion" as Mr Perret cycled alone and unaided over a period of 9 days, covering a distance of 1656 km – all because he wanted to contribute to a worthy cause. Mr Perrett decided to make this LEAP challenge an annual event and will once again – this time with fellow riders and a back-up vehicle – embark on this epic journey on 18 May 2013.
