Rehearsals for the upcoming stage production, Happy Natives are underway at Grace College under the direction of Pauline Cronje, Head of Drama. This satire by Greig Coetzee was selected because it is local, relevant and edgy.
‘Every stage production is a risk, however, the response to this play choice has been encouraging. The students are enjoying the theme, which is a challenge to South Africans to stop stereotyping and instead reach out authentically as human beings. Humour can defuse so much angst, come along and let us laugh together at ourselves. We may make our audience think, we will certainly entertain them!’ said Pauline Cronje.
Tickets cost R50.00 and can be purchased at Grace College for the performances on Thursday 16 March and Friday 17 March 2017. For more information call Mrs Nonhlanhla Majola on 033 343 2177.
