About the KZN Midlands Youth Choir
The KZN Midlands Youth Choir is a non-profit organisation whose mission it is to develop the youth of the greater Pietermaritzburg and Midlands area through music. One of South Africa’s foremost choirs, members are selected from schools around Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands of KZN.
This year, on its 10th Anniversary, the choir has been invited to take part in an international competition at Llangollen (Wales) to compete, following on previous tours to Argentina, the United Kingdom and Germany. Last year, former choir member, Noma Khumalo, won the SA Idols Season 12 competition.
