The uMngeni SPCA is a proactive and highly motivated branch of the SPCA. We have been tackling the problems of neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals in the greater Howick Districts since its formation in 1968.
Our area of jurisdiction falls within the uMngeni Municipal boundaries (with the exception of Otto's Bluff which comes under the Pietermaritzburg SPCA and Nottingham Road which falls under Mooi River SPCA). Our area therefore includes Howick, Hilton, Cedara, Mpophomeni, Haza, Impendle, Dargle, Lidgetton, Balgowan, Karkloof and everything in between.
