Cats have a tendency to hide their pain, making it difficult to properly care for them when they need it most. Here are some key things to look out for to recognise symptoms early and get your feline friend the help she needs.
• Hiding
• Sitting still and hunched up
• Abnormal behaviour around people, other pets, or activities
• Grooming habits – Neglecting to groom themselves, or over-grooming in one spot
• Unusual vocalizations – abnormal purring/ excessive meowing
• Restlessness or aggression toward friendly surroundings
• Toilet habits – are they no longer using the litter box, or not going to the toilet
• Food – have they stopped eating/ are they eating more than normal.
