At a time when many of us are feeling defeated by pothole, climate and power challenges, today I experienced a refreshing distraction when a team of trench diggers displayed top level customer care.
Exiting a property along Hilton Avenue this morning, I was dismayed to find a trench being dug across the driveway which I had to drive over. The diggers were already two thirds of the way done when I turned up to challenge their plan. The team quickly began to refill the hole so I could continue, and when I expressed my hesitation at driving on the soft, freshly placed soil, they promptly started up their much larger vehicle to compact the earth and reassure me that it would all be okay.
Thank you Metrofibre excavation team, your efforts to repair my distress made my day and I am grateful that it happened today rather than during yesterday's heat!
