Maritzburg SPAR Women’s 10/5km Challenge - Each entry supports Race Charity – CHOC House in Pietermaritzburg
The Oval: Sunday 20 August
CHOC House in Pietermaritzburg will be the official charity for the Maritzburg SPAR Women’s 10/5km Challenge next month.
Five rand from each entry will be donated to CHOC House, a non-profit organisation that advocates for the health and well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families.
At any one time, CHOC South Africa can have over 1,500 children and teenagers in their care, the passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers of CHOC aim to save lives through early detection and comprehensive support programmes for the families affected by cancer. (CHOC) Childhood Cancer Foundation SA started in 1977, and offers psychosocial, emotional and practical support to these courageous children, teenagers and their families.
CHOC House in Pietermaritzburg relies on donations to continue their life changing and important work, and SPAR KZN is honoured to be making a contribution to support this invaluable charity.
