When someone you love is facing breast cancer, it can be hard to know what to say or do.
Often, the most helpful support is practical. Offer a lift to an appointment, cook a meal, help with the school run, collect their medication, or simply sit and listen. Being specific helps too: 'I'm bringing supper on Thursday' is so much easier to accept than 'Let me know if you need anything'.
And if you are the one going through treatment, please remember that it's okay to say yes when help is offered.
To everyone walking this road, and everyone walking beside them: your neighbourhood pharmacy is here for you – whether you need advice, your medication or just a friendly face.
This October we're helping our neighbourhoods know the signs – because knowing early makes all the difference. Your favourite local pharmacy is here for you.
