Dear Members of the Public,
We are delighted by the interest shown in the Grace College Aquatics Centre and would like to share an update on when and how the facility will be available to the public.
As announced at our opening ceremony, the Aquatics Centre will open to the public in January 2027. A few final preparations are still underway, including improvements to the parking area, installation of essential equipment and the appointment of lifeguards. These will be completed before public access begins.
Public access will operate through an annual membership, with the option to pay monthly or annually. Membership numbers will be limited to ensure that everyone has sufficient time and space to train. Please note that:
* The pool is a training facility and will not be available as a splash pool
* No daily passes or walk-in access will be offered initially.
* Members will be able to book hourly swimming sessions through an online booking system, with facial recognition used for access.
* Age and swimming ability requirements will apply.
* Learn-to-swim and additional coaching lessons will be available through Aquasteps, an independent swim school operating at the facility, at an additional cost.
We will be hosting an Open Day on Saturday, 21 November 2026 from 07h00 - 12h00, giving interested members of the public an opportunity to view and swim in the pool.
Membership registration will open on Monday, 23 November 2026.
Our learners have already been making wonderful use of the facility, and we look forward to welcoming members of the wider community in the new year.
Thank you for your continued interest and support.
