Besides the usual delights to be found at Station Stop Coffee Shop, Dave has found ways to make a weekly visit to the Station an absolute must. Saturday 15th February marks the start of the Station Stoep Food Market. The food faire will run weekly from 08h00 to 11h30 with Hilton's very own local produce and goodies, from fresh milk, artisan bread, veggies, eggs, old fashioned confectionery, jams, decadent brownies, keto quiches, rusks and biscotti and a whole lot more.
Then, on the 29th February, in conjunction with Flag Art Gallery, a pop up art exhibition will take place with a host of talented artists exhibiting: Ocky Kruger, Vanessa Viljoen, Lorna Panzenbock, Hermine Spies Coleman, Yulia Glas, Dawn Melanie Morey, Gerda Swanepoel, Jennifer Milborrow, Muzi Ndlela, Diane Aldworth, Liz Speight, Claire Hudson Reed, Siyabonga Ngubane, Marcus Kruger(Marcwoods), Liz Thompson, Lara de Jager, Arusha Designs Art Gallery, Desmond Freeman...and more! This event will run in conjunction with the opening of “The Fat Pig Smokehouse” that will be serving a delicious array of smoked pork, beef, and venison faire!
Then, later in the year, the Station will host a theatre production entitled “The 6:45 Mystery in the Mist” – a Hilton Station murder mystery from the old railway days, written and directed by Paul Spence with an All-Star local cast.
Also, in the pipeline is a “Ladies High Tea and Fashion Event” as well as a “Family Date Braai Night” with live music and lots of family fun!
