Our Mission at God's Warehouse:

God’s Warehouse is a local organisation that supports widowed, single, and divorced mothers who have fallen, or are in danger of falling, through the gap between what they can manage to earn and the cost of feeding their families. These are women like us; who live in our streets and whose children go to the same school as ours. They are women who are doing their best to bring up their children on a single income and without financial support from anyone else.

The plight of solo parents an unrecognised crisis. With the continually increased cost of living more and more mothers and their children are starting to slide towards poverty. They are hanging on by their finger nails; clawing out an existence. They often go without eating for days, can’t always buy themselves new toiletries, clothing or make up - all the little things we take for granted - as they put everything they have into ensuring that their children have the food, education and life they deserve; a life without suffering.

What is frightening is that you probably know some of these solo moms and have no idea that they are struggling and living from hand to mouth. They are not the poorest of the poor but without our help, they may become so and add to the already strained social support system.
